Printed Notebooks.

Covers are printed full colour CMYK on the cover stock (350gsm silk for soft covers, laminated board for hardcovers) and laminated for durability before binding. If you want foil — a gold or silver company logo blocked into the cover — that is applied as a separate pass after the CMYK print. Foil looks excellent on a hardcover or leatherette-finish notebook, but adds a couple of extra working days to the standard 5-day turnaround. Everything is printed and bound at our Bracknell print shop.

Soft cover notebooks are lighter, cheaper, and perfect for conferences, workshops, or giveaways where each attendee takes one home. They typically use a 350gsm laminated card cover and are wiro bound or perfect bound. Hardcover notebooks feel premium and last for years — ideal for a high-value gift to a VIP client or as a staff welcome pack at a bigger Bracknell business. Hardcovers take longer to produce (5 to 7 working days vs 5 for soft cover) and cost noticeably more per unit, but the quality speaks for itself.

Yes. Gold, silver, copper, or black foil can be blocked onto the front cover of any soft-cover or hardcover notebook. Foil is a traditional hot-press process that presses real metal foil into the cover stock, leaving a bright, permanent, reflective finish. It looks excellent on a matt or soft-touch laminated cover because the shine contrasts against the muted texture. Foil adds two working days to the standard 5-day turnaround and is quoted as a separate line on the order.

Our standard interior is 80gsm bond white — the same weight as a typical office printer paper, which keeps the notebook light without showing ink through. We can move to 90gsm cream, which is warmer-toned and feels slightly more premium, or 100gsm white if you want something genuinely substantial. All interiors can be printed plain, lined (ruled), dotted (grid-dot), or squared (graph). For a more premium gift, 120gsm cream with a dotted layout is a popular upgrade.

Twenty-five notebooks is our minimum, which makes sense for a small conference, a team welcome pack, or a boutique client gift. Most corporate orders around Bracknell come through at 100 to 500 notebooks. For larger runs (1,000+) the per-unit price drops significantly because the setup and binding costs amortise across more units. Bulk orders are often split across multiple variants — different cover designs for different teams or offices, for example.

Yes to both. A woven fabric ribbon bookmark (usually matching your brand colour) is attached inside the binding so it hangs out at the bottom of the pages — a nice premium touch, especially on hardcover notebooks. Elastic closures wrap around the outside of the notebook to keep it shut when not in use, and are very popular on softcover Moleskine-style gift notebooks. Both are small additional costs per unit, and both are applied in-house at our Bracknell print room.
