Specifications.

Invitations are an occasion in themselves. The card, the finish, and the way it lands in someone's hand sets the tone before the event even starts. We print flat, folded, or gate-fold, on heavy silk, uncoated, or textured conqueror stocks.

For weddings and premium events, we offer gold or silver foil, embossing, letterpress, and ribbon. Matching envelopes in white, kraft, or printed with the guest's name are available.

Frequently asked.

Can you design the invitations for us?
Yes. Our in-house design team regularly builds full wedding invitation suites from scratch, as well as invitations for corporate events, birthday parties, and private launches. Send us your theme, colour direction, venue details, and any inspiration images you like. We will come back with two or three initial directions, refine your favourite, and only send to print once you approve the final proof. Design and print are quoted as separate lines, so you can see exactly where the budget is going.
How far in advance should I order wedding invitations?
For a wedding, order your invitations at least three months before the event date, so you can get them in the post six to eight weeks before the day itself. That gives guests time to respond and you time to chase any missing RSVPs. For foil, letterpress, or any hand-finished invitation, add another two weeks on top to the lead time. Corporate event invitations are less tight — two to four weeks is usually enough. Bracknell weddings book out our print room quickly in peak season (April to September), so earlier is always better.
Do you do matching RSVP cards and save-the-dates?
Yes, as part of a full invitation suite. RSVP cards are usually A6 or A7, printed on matching stock, with your RSVP address printed on the back. Save-the-date cards are often A6 postcards sent six to twelve months ahead of the event. We also print order-of-service booklets, place cards, table numbers, and thank-you cards — anything wedding or event related can come out of our Bracknell print shop as a matching set.
Should I choose foil or digital printing?
Foil is the premium option — real metallic foil pressed into the card after printing, giving a genuine reflective finish you cannot replicate digitally. It looks and feels beautiful but adds cost and roughly three to five days to the turnaround. Modern digital CMYK printing is excellent quality, much cheaper, and turns around in 48 hours. For weddings and high-end corporate events, most Bracknell customers go foil for the main invitation and digital for the cheaper RSVP cards. For parties and general invitations, digital is usually the right answer.
Can you print guest names on each invitation?
Yes, individually, using variable-data digital printing. Send us a spreadsheet with each guest's name and address and we will personalise each invitation so it reads 'Dear Mr and Mrs Smith' or similar on the card itself. We can also address and print each envelope individually. This is a premium touch that makes a real difference for weddings and VIP corporate events. Happy to quote variable data alongside the main print run.
What is the minimum order?
Twenty-five invitations is our minimum. Most Bracknell wedding orders come through at 50 to 150 invitations, which is the typical size of a wedding guest list. Corporate events tend to run larger — 200 to 500 invitations for a product launch or annual ball. For orders above 500, we can move from digital to litho print, which gives a marginally lower per-invitation cost on big runs.
