For a bookmark that is going to live in a book for months or years, yes. Matt lamination is most popular because it protects the print without making the bookmark slippery, so it stays in place between pages. Gloss lamination looks the punchiest, especially if your design has strong imagery, and is the most water-resistant. Soft-touch lamination feels premium but adds to the cost. For a one-use promotional bookmark at a book launch or trade stand, unlaminated on 350gsm silk is fine and keeps the unit cost down.

Yes. We punch a hole at the top of the bookmark (usually 5mm diameter) and thread a ribbon or silk tassel through. Tassels are available in gold, silver, black, white, red, and most other common colours — tell us what matches your brand. Each tassel is a small extra charge per bookmark and adds a genuinely premium touch, which is why hotels, bookshops, and wedding venues tend to pick them. Tassels are added in-house at our Bracknell print room so we control quality end-to-end.

They are one of the best-value promotional items going. A customer who takes your bookmark will see your brand every time they pick up their book, which is typically daily for weeks on end. That makes the cost-per-impression for a printed bookmark extremely low compared to a flyer that lands in a recycling bin the same day. For Bracknell bookshops, libraries, book clubs, schools, and book launches, a run of 1,000 bookmarks on 350gsm silk is excellent value.

100 bookmarks is our minimum. Most Bracknell customers order 500 or 1,000 because the per-unit price drops sharply as the run size grows. Schools, bookshops, and libraries regularly reorder in 2,500 to 5,000 batches for ongoing giveaways. If you are running a one-off book launch or a trade event, 250 is usually enough to last the day.

Yes. Our in-house design team can work from a book cover, an author's brand, a library style guide, or just a rough brief. We will send you a digital proof of the design before anything goes on press, and you get unlimited revisions within reason. Design is a separate line on the quote — ask us for a combined design-plus-print price when you get in touch. Everything is designed, proofed, and printed in our Bracknell print shop.
