Specifications.

Standard roller banners are the trade-show workhorse. One mechanical cassette at the base holds a weighted roller; the printed graphic is clipped to the top of a three-section chrome pole; pull up, clip into the base, and you have a free-standing 2-metre banner in under 30 seconds. When the event is done, reverse the process and the banner rolls back into the cassette for storage and transport.

We print on 440gsm blockout PVC as standard, which is the industry-standard banner material. It is thick enough to stay crease-free when rolled up many times, opaque enough that nothing shows through from behind, and takes vivid CMYK print. Every banner order includes the cassette, pole, and a padded nylon carry bag.

Frequently asked.

What comes with a standard roller banner?
Every standard roller banner we print at our Bracknell print shop includes the printed graphic, the mechanical aluminium cassette base (silver as standard, black or white on request), a three-section chrome pole, and a padded nylon carry bag for transport and storage. Everything needed to use the banner at an event out of the box. No additional kit to buy.
How long does a roller banner last?
For normal indoor event use (pulled up and down 2 to 3 times a week for a year), you should get 3 to 5 years of life out of a standard roller banner before either the mechanism gets stiff or the print starts to scuff. Heavier outdoor or daily commercial use shortens that. When the print wears out or needs updating, we offer replacement prints (same cassette, new graphic) at a big discount versus buying a complete new banner.
What material do you print standard roller banners on?
440gsm blockout PVC is the trade-standard material and what we use for 95 percent of standard roller banner orders from our Bracknell print room. Thick, opaque, crease-resistant when rolled and stored, and it holds vivid full-colour print. For a slightly more premium feel we also offer 260gsm greyback polyester, which is cloth-like rather than plastic-feeling, suiting art galleries, museums, or any setting where plastic looks out of place.
How quickly can you print a roller banner?
Standard roller banners leave our Bracknell print room within 48 hours of artwork approval. For genuinely urgent jobs (an event the day after tomorrow), we can sometimes turn around a single banner in 24 hours if we have the material in stock. Call us on 01344 269692 for the honest answer on timing. Collect from Longshot Lane, or we deliver free across RG12 and RG42.
What size should my roller banner artwork be?
The visible print area is 800 x 2000 mm. Artwork should be supplied at 1:1 scale (800 x 2000 mm), or at 10 percent (80 x 200 mm) with 150 dpi minimum resolution to avoid huge file sizes. Work in CMYK with 3mm bleed on all edges, and keep critical content (logos, key text) at least 50 mm in from the bottom edge because the lower section tucks into the cassette and is hidden in use.
