A6 is postcard-sized (105 × 148 mm) and fits most small envelopes — a great choice for thank-you cards, short personal notes, or appointment follow-ups. A5 is double the size and gives you more room for a longer handwritten message, which makes it popular for business correspondence and customer follow-up. Most Bracknell customers go A6 for everyday thank-yous and A5 when the message needs more space. We can print custom sizes too if you want something distinctive.

Yes. C6 envelopes fit A6 correspondence cards exactly, and C5 envelopes fit A5 cards. We stock them in white, cream, and kraft, either plain or printed with your return address or a simple logo. Printing the envelope to match the card is a small additional cost but makes the whole piece look properly thought through when it lands on the recipient's doormat.

If the cards will be handwritten, uncoated is the answer. Uncoated stocks have a subtle texture that holds fountain pen, rollerball, and ballpoint ink without beading or smudging, so your handwriting reads cleanly. Silk is smoother and better if you want a vivid printed image or a full-bleed colour — the ink sits on top rather than soaking in. Most Bracknell correspondence card orders go out on 300gsm uncoated because the whole point is usually a handwritten note.

Yes. Letterpress is the traditional technique where type and imagery are physically pressed into thick card, leaving a subtle debossed impression on the surface. It looks and feels stunning, but it is slower and more expensive than digital printing, typically adding 5 to 7 working days and increasing the per-card cost noticeably. Letterpress is most often chosen for weddings, premium brand launches, or any correspondence where the tactile quality matters as much as the words. Minimum order for letterpress is 100 cards.

Fifty cards is our minimum for digitally printed correspondence cards, which covers small personal orders, family stationery, or a test run for a new business. Most orders come through at 100 to 250 cards, which keeps the per-card price sensible. For foil and letterpress we ask for a 100-card minimum because of the setup involved.
