Cookie policy.
What we set on your browser, why, and how to switch optional cookies on or off. Last updated April 2026.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website places on your device to remember information between visits. We use only the minimum needed to run the site and, if you opt in, anonymous analytics so we can see which pages are useful.
2. Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
ap_consent | Remembers your cookie banner choice | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
_ga | Distinguishes anonymous visitors (Google Analytics) | Optional / analytics | 13 months |
_ga_* | Persists session state (Google Analytics) | Optional / analytics | 13 months |
3. Strictly necessary
The ap_consent cookie remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. It is set only when you click accept or reject on the banner. Without it we would have to ask you on every page load.
4. Optional / analytics
The Google Analytics cookies are set only if you click Accept all. They send anonymised page-view data to Google so we can see which pages are useful and which are not. We do not share this data with anyone else and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Manage your choice
To change your mind, click the button below. You can also delete site cookies in your browser settings any time, in which case the banner will reappear on your next visit.
6. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising cookies. The only third-party cookies we set, if you consent, are Google Analytics. Google's privacy notice is at policies.google.com/privacy.
